Inter-Regional Competition
Every year Cromwell EGB puts together a team to compete in the annual Inter-Regional challenge. Find out what it is and how you can join in.
What are the Inter-Regionals?
The Inter-Regional Championship is a team event whereby each regional EnduranceGB group fields a team of 12 competitors across all ages and experiences to compete for the championship title.
The championship takes place over 2 days at a specified ride each year over a range of distances between 30km to 80km classes. The results are calculated using EGB's Performance Formula and the winning team is the one with the highest overall score.
Riders and their crew get to experience working as a team with a Chef D'Equip and other professionals, a great introduction to competing for the Home Internationals and into the national TeamGBR squads.
Who can join in?
The Cromwell EGB team is made up of riders across all levels with inclusivity at the heart of the team. We have places for Advanced and Open riders, as well as Novice and first season riders. At least team member must be a junior or Young Rider. Club members and Try Before You Buy members are eligible to ride for the team in the novice horse and rider class, usually in a 32km GER class. Our only requirement is you are a member of Cromwell EGB group!

Whilst there are no specific training requirements other than your horse needs to be fit and ready for the distance you've entered, we often run group training events in preparation for the competition so you can meet the other team members in advance. Keep an eye on our news and events sections, along with social media, as we will post details as they are available.
